1982
UIS Taiwan was established in 1982 and primarily engaged in MEP and cleanroom construction projects for the IT industry. With the business philosophy of always striving for excellence, UIS stood out even among direct competitors. Noteworthy projects include collaborations with Winbond, Macronix, and TSMC.
2000 ~ 2020
Over these 20 years, UIS further expanded our MEP engineering and cleanroom construction to serve major players in Asian semiconductor and Flat Panel Display industry. With the increase demand of cleanroom from Asian High-Tech industries' prosperous development, UIS had experienced significant growth and constructed over 10,000,000 SF within this period of time. To accommodate the high demand for High-Tech facilities plants across Asia, Jiangxi subsidiary of UIS was established in China in 2003 and Singapore subsidiary was established in 2011 to provide more comprehensive MEP and cleanroom construction service locally in China and Singapore.
2020 ~
As part of the CHIPS Act of 2022 to strengthen American semiconductor manufacturing, UIS joined TSMC to build Fab 21 in Phoenix. The undergoing construction of the Phase 1 project at completion will be one of the world's largest cleanrooms, standing at nearly 650,000 square feet. More than 5 phases can be expected to come along as of now.
